BitMEX, short for Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange, is a cryptocurrency derivatives trading platform that allows users to trade futures contracts with leverage. The company was founded in 2014 and is based in Hong Kong. BitMEX allows users to trade a variety of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple, using futures and options contracts. The platform also offers leverage up to 100x on some contracts, which means that users can invest a small amount of money and get the effect of a much larger investment.
